Dior Sunset Cafe Eyeshadow Palette

 

For all of you Dior Fans, I tried out the 5-Colour Eyeshadow and would recommend it for those that are looking for a neutral look. It is in the brown-pink-gold family lol. Well you will see in pictures below, the pigments, textures and quality of the product. The only thing I would say about this particular shade selection is that I do not think one can do a smoky eye. Maybe a different color combination would work. But it still is a good palette. Retails at $58.

So as I was tweeting with Premium-Extensions (@PremiumExt) today and I came across one of their tweets that I thought was pretty hot. Talk about a "go get 'em girl" moment! Christina Milian is really putting that "You aren't going to play me and think I'm not coming back looking like a 20 and not a 5!" lol. I thought she looked really nice here, nothing too crazy, and very simple. Yes, for some of us, for just going to dinner this might be much, but why not ladies?? Round your girls up, dress up and hang out like the fabulous chicas that you are! Don't wait for that date to do all that now....Ok, back to the topic lol. Tell me what you think about this look - hit or miss?

Have you ever thought of getting a wig rather than a weave? I myself have never tried it but I will say that the ones Wendy Williams get are GORGEOUS! Some of them look so natural and have a lot of body too. So I went on a mission to find out where she got them and found them. Now if I were paying attention the time she said it on her show, it would have been easier lol. So the company that provides her hair is Visionary Hair. When you google it, it will not say this - it will say Hadiiya Barbel, which is the right site. Now ladies, I am warning you, if you are looking for a crazy deal, it won't be here. The cheapest wig in the Look Book is $650 and the most expensive is $3,200. Now considering that some weaves out there are like $1,000+ not including hair, this may be a nice alternative!

Hello Beauties,

I am looking for a new hair extensions company to buy from this time around and I found a great clip of how curly extensions should look! I like want it tomorrow lol. She's also talking about other websites that she gets hair from and all but don't miss the look of the hair if anything lol. I am officially obsessed with this look - I think I know what look I'm going for next! ;-)

With the summer here (hitting us with great intensity I must say), a little bronze glow can go a long way. One bronzer I enjoy using is Bobbi Brown's Bronze Shimmer Brick Compact. You can use it in many ways! I mix it with my blush, use it as eyeshadow or just do a light brush on the parts of my face that the sun hits the most. This one goes for $38.

Celebrity Spotlight: Mel B. & Rihanna

I know it may be weird to put these two together in one post but you will see in a few why I need to do this lol. First of all, Mel B. is making me want to change my hair color and do the catwalk - just kidding, of course lol. But I must say she is looking GREAT in this pic!! She has on the right shade of red for the lips and she looks so put together it makes you forget the Spice Girls days lol. Though I was a fan back in the day, I will admit :-).



Now Rihanna on the other hand was playing dress up and forgot to change before stepping out...Maybe it's because I am older - I'll blame it on that lol. The fire red hair is not working for me so much, though I do like how she put her headband on. I think that color was working for me for a second because it was different. It reminds me of when I tried dying my Barbie's hair with Kool-Aid though lol good times.

The pigments are great on darker skin tones. Snap this product up before it's gone! There are pictures below to show some of the colors :-).

Eye Care: Dark Circles

Someone was asking me what can be done about the dark circles that can creep up on you under the eyes and I went on my usual mission. I went to look for "cucumbers" that I could have sworn I used back in the day, no luck. Then again I guess you could use real cucumbers at that lol. The product I came across was Dermalogica's Total Eye Care which has optical light diffusers to minimize dark circles. That and some concealer/foundation will help get you that fresh look you may be looking for. I notice that I get such circles when I lack some sleep....more so lots of sleep lol.

And Mariah Carey it is! Love her look, talent and style....maybe only sometimes with the latter lol. We all must admit, only she can pull off wearing heels with a sweatsuit though. The rest of us would get that side eye like "wtf are you doing?" lol. Her face has never changed since the "Honey" days, but her makeup is flawless. She always has a nice fresh, natural look that minus the blush and the mascara. Love it!

At-Home-Remedy: Fungus Feet

So it's summertime and most, if not all, of you ladies are rocking those fabulous shoes that let your toes shine! As I was watching TV, I found out something new - vinegar can help tame fungus feet! Yes, so not exciting, but if it's something that you have to deal with, try white vinegar, soak and see if that helps. Of course going to the doctor and getting medication will help too - see what works for you :-)!

NARS Glitter Lip Gloss

Ok, I know you are probably like "seriously?" when you read the title, but believe it or not, I have found a liking to glitter lip gloss and I'm definitely not into the glitter look like that either. Ok, maybe on Halloween....or experimenting at home but those don't count lol. This NARS lip gloss shade called Moonfleet gives a nice clear shine but also sparkles! It works for those natural looks and when you need a more neutral lip to counter your eye makeup.

The glitter is more in the gold family, but it doesn't make you look like you just came out of a glitter jar. It's the right amount of sparkle and it doesn't have that gritty feel too. Give it a try, it's definitely a keeper :-). Retails at $24.
